I tried many times to take pictures of water from the tap but absolutely nothing made them look even slightly aesthetically pleasing. This picture didn't exactly turn out how I hoped it would but it came close enough! Tried very hard to catch the light bouncing off the water.

Hi, Oliviya!

Оценка работы

Your efforts were not in vain: you have managed to perfectly freeze the splashing water in mid-air by using a shutter speed of 1/1250s, and to great effect. Raising the ISO to 800 has allowed you to increase the shutter speed, while the aperture value f10 provides clear focus.

You have taken this photo in the most difficult mode, manual – good for you! And you have captured the light reflections in the splashing water.

Замечания и рекомендации

Using an aperture value of F8, you have managed to achieve an even shorter exposure, but this would have no greater effect on the sharpness of the image.

You need to be braver in taking control of the white balance – don’t just trust it to the automatic settings.
