Bougainvillea are one of my favorite flowers! I quite enjoyed going around and taking pictures of flora around. You can take your own sweet time and take as many pictures as you want. I took two identical pictures, with slightly different shutter speeds. I preferred this one with the higher shutter speed for how it contrasted the pink against the green.

Hello, Oliviya!

Оценка работы

Thank you for the new photo. This is a beautiful photograph and an excellent study on the floral theme.

You’ve done excellent work with the settings – increasing the focal length to 92mm, in combination with a wide aperture, has given you a short depth of field and gently blurs the background. This allows the flowers to stand out.

The shorter exposure while shooting in manual mode has darkened the photo – this highlights the deep greens in the leaves and helps to mark out the flowers by their contrast.

The quality of the shot is a lot better, and I have nothing to add on the technical front.

Замечания и рекомендации

As far as the composition is concerned, in my view it would be worth extending the frame of the shot, so that the flowers are shifted away from the centre. This will enhance the compositional stress on it.

You could apply “the rule of thirds”, with the main object shifting to one third from the edge of the shot.
